Ernest is a Fellow of the British Horse Society an Accredited British Show Jumping and British Eventing Coach.

A prolific teacher of Show Jumping and Event riders with over 45 years experience of teaching and competing at the highest level, his clients range from less experienced riders wishing to gain confidence in their chosen sport to Young Rider gold medallists, Pony Club National Champions, Three and Four Star event riders and International Show Jumpers. He is widely travelled throughout the world and has and still does conduct clinics in the USA, AFRICA, DUBAI, HONG KONG, and CANADA.
